Paste-to-Table Cleaner

Paste ragged rows copied from a PDF, web page or email. Columns are detected, page numbers and repeated headers weeded out — clean CSV, Excel or Markdown comes back. Nothing leaves your machine.

When would I use this?

You copy a table out of a PDF report, a web page or a long email — and it lands in Excel as one sad column, sprinkled with page numbers, “Page 3 of 12”, dashed dividers, and the header repeated every twenty rows. Paste the lot here instead: the columns are detected (even ones lined up with spaces), the junk rows are flagged and set aside where you can see them, and ragged rows are squared up. Then copy it straight into Excel, or download a tidy CSV or Markdown table. Nothing is uploaded anywhere; it all happens on your computer.

Junk rows?

Suspected junk is flagged and set aside — each flagged row keeps a “keep” box in the results so you can pull it back in.

Good to know

Rows with too few columns are padded with empty cells; rows with too many get the extras folded into the last column. Either way they wear a badge below so you can spot them. Quoted fields (“a, b”) survive comma and semicolon splitting.

03 Clean table

Paste data above — the clean table appears here automatically.
Nothing to clean yet. Paste some rows, drop a file, or hit “Try an example”.
Excel CSV adds a UTF-8 BOM? so accents survive the trip. “Copy for Excel” puts tab-separated cells on the clipboard — paste straight into Excel or Google Sheets and it lands in real cells.
