Image Compressor

Drop PNG, JPG or WebP files, pick a quality, see the before/after size, and download the batch. Compression runs entirely in your browser.

When would I use this?

Camera photos and exported PNGs are often far bigger than they need to be for the web, email or a form upload that caps file size. Drop a batch here, pick a quality level, and download files that are noticeably smaller — with the before/after size shown for each one so you know exactly what you're trading off.

Every image is resized and re-encoded on your own device, using the browser's built-in canvas — nothing is ever uploaded anywhere.

80%

Lower values shrink JPEG and WebP output more, at the cost of visible quality. 80% is a good starting point.

Output format

Browsers' canvas.toBlob ignores the quality setting for PNG, so "Keep original format" on a PNG just re-encodes it losslessly — it may shrink a little by dropping metadata, but won't shrink much. Converting to JPEG or WebP applies real lossy compression. JPEG has no transparency, so any transparent areas are filled with white automatically before encoding.
