When would I use this?

Say you have a list of appointments in an email or a note — a term of school events, a set of shifts, a run of client meetings. Typing them into your calendar one by one is slow. Paste or type them here instead, one per line, and download a single file; when you open that file, your calendar app adds every event in one go.
